The Alpine bivi bag is superb and worth every penny. It will weather the elements regardless of the conditions you may face. With the use of triple layer goretex respiration positive fabric (exclusively designed for use in bivi bags) it is extremely breathable but still remains completely waterproof. Contrary to many of the materials used in the design of the bivi bags on todays market the Alpine bivi bag allows for an exchange of carbon monoxide and oxygen which is the key to excellent respiration.
All seams on this bag are hot taped which means that there will be no tiny holes in the fabric which can affect the waterproof features of other bivi’s. The floor of the Alpine bivi bag is also coated in Hydroseal to optimise protection.
Other features of this bivi include extra head space, an internal mesh pocket, wide storm flaps and netting at the bags opening for insect protection.
